Concrete is a common part of our lives. It serves as the foundation for modern society, our buildings, and our roads, transportation system, and more. Even if we don’t realize it, we encounter concrete almost every day. And we rely on it. At Puyallup Concrete, we understand this, and take concrete seriously.
There are a variety of contractors willing to complete concrete work – in fact any amateur can advertise for concrete flatwork (driveways, patios, etc). But it takes a team of seasoned professionals to really get concrete right. Concrete laying is an art, and a science – and installing it correctly takes expertise. Getting this right is hard enough. But add in Washington’s challenging weather conditions and moisture and the formula becomes that much harder. While a discount contractor may lay concrete and produce visibly satisfying results, how confident are you that your new patio or driveway will look pristine in a year or two? Did they get the foundation work right? Was there enough reinforcing rebar? With Puyallup Concrete, you don’t have to worry about any of this. We’ve laid, installed, and repaired concrete in Tacoma, Auburn, Puyallup, and beyond for years – and we get better and better with each completed job.
Unsure of where to start with your project? We can help. Have a vision for something but aren’t sure what type of concrete is best? That’s where we come in. Submit a quote request, or give us a call. We’ve helped hundreds of customers select the best materials for lanais, stamped concrete patios, driveways, foundations, and more. We’ll also steer you towards best practices, because we’ve seen a thing or two in the concrete industry. We have experience with what works and what doesn’t, and can help you avoid costly mistakes on your project.
We can also help fast-track a project. In today’s supply-constrained market, concrete has become a hot commodity. To complicate matters further, a limited number of contractors now serve the greater Tacoma area, creating frustrating back-logs for home improvement, business development, and concrete construction projects. We frequently receive calls from customers waiting to install lanais, pools, and backyard kitchens – customers who have been waiting for the price of materials to drop, or for a contractor to become available. Don’t wait. Call us today, and take the next step in your project. We can install your concrete sooner than your contractor can. Once the foundation is in place, you may be able to expedite your project – allowing you to enjoy your yard, property, or business expansion sooner.
Tacoma, Puyallup, and the suburbs around the city are booming. Our city is rapidly expanding, and our population levels are increasing steadily. With increased home construction comes the need for increased commercial development to keep pace and serve our neighbors. Quality Concrete Work
We live in Washington, and call Tacoma, Puyallup, and the surrounding communities home. As a result, we care about our projects even more, because they add to the natural beauty and safety of our communities. We insist upon high standards, because we care about our neighbors, and our towns. We’re also intimately familiar with Washington. We’ve endured the storms, the rains, and swinging temperatures. We understand how the elements impact concrete, and know how to compose our materials and build our structures so that they endure whatever Washington, the Puget Sound, and the Northwest throw at them. Choose us, and be confident that you’re hiring neighbors devoted to delivering the best possible concrete work for you, your family, or your business.
While we cannot guarantee it, we may be able to provide you a discount should you contract with us for multiple projects. We want your business. And we want to lay as much concrete as you need. We also prefer larger projects, as they allow us to more economically task our teams and fill our schedules. So, if you’re a commercial or residential customer and you need multiple concrete projects, we offer you the following consideration. For some projects, we can discount your concrete work should you “bundle” several projects together. For instance, if you’re a business who wants an expanded patio constructed, and plans to add stamped concrete pathways later, we would ask that you allow us to work both projects while at your worksite, we can finish both projects. In exchange for your business, we can discuss a discounted rate for your project as a “thank you” and as an incentive for completing more work. Please understand that this offer is only available on a case-by-case basis, and will depend entirely on manpower, scheduling, staffing constraints and considerations, and the price of supplies and materials. We ask for your patience as we work to schedule multiple projects across the greater Tacoma area. And thank you in advance for considering us!
"Puyallup Concrete Pros was fantastic. Our project was complex, but that didn't stop this great team. We can't recommend them enough for prompt, professional service."

Stamped Concrete
Stamped concrete is just what it sounds like: concrete that has been stamped to form shapes, decorations, and decorative surface textures. Stamped concrete starts out as regular concrete - poured to form patios, sidewalks, walkways, and driveways. However, before the concrete completely cures, or dries, large stamps are applied to form shapes and surface texture. This allows for customization of concrete surfaces, and is an inexpensive alternative to other options.
We can construct stamped concrete: Patios, Driveways, Walkways, Pathways, and any other horizontal surface. Stamped concrete is an excellent choice for a wide range of commercial and residential projects. If you're looking for a simple way to add a finishing touch to otherwise plain surfaces, this is it. This can help you save money on concrete and use it toward other areas of your project - or lower project costs - so that you can save money on concrete. We can stamp concrete at any point in the construction process. If so, how long have you been working on your plans? Great! At any phase in the design and planning process, we are here to help. Besides our expertise, we will bring a wide range of additional choices to each project. |
Concrete Flatwork
Concrete flatwork consists of any type of concrete applied to a horizontal surface. This catch-call term includes a number of flatwork services, all of which Puyallup Concrete Pros can complete for residential and commercial customers:
Concrete slabs Concrete patios Concrete paths Concrete driveways Concrete walkways There are several factors to consider when deciding which concrete, reinforcement, and decoration will best suit the needs of your project. Whatever the case, there are a few things to keep in mind when working with concrete flatwork: The final cost of your project will be determined by the size and extent of the work you need to do to prepare the ground for paving or concrete. For the most part, we can get better deals on bulk goods and pass those savings along to you. There are many different types of concrete mixes. Some are clearly superior than others, as one might anticipate. Our specialists will work with you to determine the best type of concrete for your project based on your requirements. Concrete can be colored with mixes and dyes, as you may have guessed. With a certain color in mind, this may be a fun way to add interest and variation on a surface. Stamped concrete, sealants, and finishing paint are all examples of finishing work, which is anything done after the concrete has been poured. All of these factors raise costs and give rise to new options. You might want to think about using concrete in your home. We'd be happy to explore your options with you if you give us a call. With your help, we'll be able to locate the best materials and applications for your project. |
Concrete Driveways
Puyallup Concrete Pros builds concrete driveways and car parks. Driveways are an important part of our lives and our properties, but they can be challenging. Whether you're building a home, or renovating, we can help. Puyallup Concrete Pros is experienced in driveway construction, and we're eager to assist you. We don't recommend trying to build a driveway yourself. A poorly constructed or maintained driveways can crack, necessitating additional labor and financial resources far more quickly than necessary.
You can create a concrete driveway in any shape or arrangement you like. Our approach is straightforward, and the driveways we build are always visually appealing as well as useful. Once we know what your needs are, we can begin the process of meeting them. To ensure that the ground is level and stable, we grade the surface after completing the paperwork. Mixing and laying the first concrete foundation will follow. Before the concrete is screeded, any imperfections and surplus material will be addressed. If you've chosen a stamp design, we'll utilize it. Once the concrete has cured, we'll inspect our work to ensure it meets our standards. To make sure the concrete driveway lasts for many years, it will be sealed. That's all there is to it. You'll be able to enjoy your new driveway for many years to come. |
Concrete SidewalksWe build concrete sidewalks, concrete walkways, and concrete pathways. We’re happy to serve both commercial and residential customers, and look forward to working with you on the installation of a walkway or sidewalk on your property.
Most homeowners don’t think much about concrete walkways until they encounter a home improvement project, or necessity arises. Do you have a concrete driveway – and just installed a patio, pool, or backyard improvement? Chances are you’ll want to consider connecting these elements to protect your grass, and avoid the need to walk through gravel or dirt. A concrete pathway is a perfect way to do this. The process for concrete pathway installation is also simple. Once you have an idea of what you need, our team will visit your property and get the process started. If we have concerns about soil composition or the foundation, we’ll address these upfront to ensure you have a reliable, quality product. Concrete Patios |
Looking for a patio? We highly recommend concrete as a medium for patios, given its flexibility, relatively low cost, and customizability. Puyallup Concrete builds and customizes concrete patios for a variety of applications. We can dye your concrete patio, and install either a smooth, textured, or stamped surface. This opens up a myriad of possibilities, and will give you a concrete that fits your needs, your budget, and your unique property.
Patios add a tremendous level of flexibility to backyards, restaurants, parks, public spaces, and more. They are the perfect place to start a backyard improvement project, or open a space to general use. Do you have property covered with grass or weeds and wild plants? These spaces are generally unusable for most applications, but a patio can change all of that. For a low price, a patio can turn unusable space into a seating area, expanded pool deck, play area, cooking area, or even a place to play sports. For our commercial customers, patios are a place for customers to congregate and enjoy food, refreshments, the view, and company. Plus (for our commercial partners) patios (especially shaded ones) cause customers to linger for longer – ordering more food and drinks – or a second round of coffee or ice cream. So to us, they make great business sense too! Are you a restaurant with limited indoor seating? Unfortunately, out of delivering food, or opening more locations, there are few ways to expand and grow. With a patio, restaurants can dramatically expand their seating and customer capacity, equating directly to higher revenues and profits. Concrete is a powerful thing! |
Concrete Polishing
There are several intriguing benefits and prospects for concrete polishing. Concrete polishing is the process of cleaning the concrete surface and using powerful polishing tools to polish it. The result is a floor that is fully smooth and high-gloss and doesn't require regular waxing to keep it clean. However, polished concrete floors are more straightforward to keep clean. Regular wiping and washing are still necessary.
They are also very attractive to look at. Instead of spending more money on tiling or a stamped concrete alternative, think about installing a polished concrete floor. The finished result has probably already been seen by you. Because they look excellent, are easy to maintain, and can withstand a lot of foot traffic, polished concrete floors are popular in retail enterprises. Additionally, they don't need ongoing maintenance, saving you from having to deal with that problem on a daily basis. Do you want to begin a home gym? Using flexible matting will help you save a ton of money while adding a polished concrete floor. funds that could be used to purchase additional exercise equipment Spas, salons, barbershops, and other businesses can benefit from polished concrete. Are you a business client or considering a significant project? We will be happy to discuss your project with you and provide you a quote. Are you making an effort to fulfill the requirements for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)? Have you given any thought to how polished concrete floors and other concrete characteristics can aid in your goal-achieving? Calling now is a good idea. |
Colored Concrete
Do you know that we can create colored concrete? In and around your home, we might employ paints, dyes, and stains to produce different shades of colored concrete. This alternative should be taken into account if you are working with concrete because it may create many new project opportunities. Minor blemishes in a concrete walkway or driveway can provide a fun and distinctive dimension to your home, making a dull, grey concrete feature much more vibrant and eye-catching!
Painting, dying, staining, or sealing concrete with a colored sealant are all options. The advantages of colored concrete are numerous, and the technique is simple and inexpensive. Beautiful patios and pool decks can be made using this modification, and it can also be utilized to enhance already-existing buildings. Do you have a specific color scheme in mind as you work on a project? We can bring that motif to life with colored concrete. Do you want to make your rooms, garage, or other aspects of your home more unique? This could be done with the aid of a color application. What kinds of outcomes are possible for us? Do you want the look of a gravel walk in your concrete? We may add speckling to a fully smooth concrete surface to make it appear like rock. Do you want a concrete barrier that resembles a cliff face built? We are also capable of achieving it. Which do you prefer, a floor that resembles lava or water? With tinted concrete, we may achieve the same result. Call us right away to talk about the requirements and concepts for your concrete project and to determine whether or not adding color to your project is a practical option. We would want to know more about your plans! |
Slabjacking
Slabjacking is a method for raising concrete that has sunk into loosely compacted soil or other material. In reality, the process is rather simple.
After a brief examination, we will inject either a concrete mix or foam underneath the sinking concrete. This filler goes into the space underneath the concrete and expands or fills it. As it enters and masses, the material starts to raise the concrete slab or section above it. Until the concrete is level and not buried or sloped, the process is repeated. We let the concrete or filler dry, check the work again for structural soundness, and then we're done. Our mission was accomplished. For concrete that is still in good condition but has settled below its original installation position, slabjacking is a fantastic solution. The quick and effective service can help with the restoration of concrete work. In addition to overlays, the technique can be applied to driveways. |

Why Puyallup Concrete?
Puyallup Concrete is committed to outstanding work and outstanding customer service; every time. We deliver great concrete products, through friendly, hassle-free interactions with customers. Our aim is to make your project easy and enjoyable, while delivering the finest concrete work that money can buy. In addition to exceptional workmanship and service, we prioritize safety on each and every project. Our people are our most important asset, and we strive to protect everyone on any job site we work. We are trained, certified, and ensure we adhere to the highest Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, and all applicable Washington and municipal codes. But quality service and safety aren’t our only hallmarks.
Puyallup Concrete has prioritized sustainability – and has used sustainable philosophies to both save money, cut costs, and lessen our negative impact on the environment around us. In many cases, we’ve passed cost savings onto grateful customers, all while being better stewards of our environment. We take a different approach to sustainability. We still drive trucks. We still lay concrete. We still use chemicals as needed. But we’re selective about what we use – and work diligently to use the least expensive, lowest impact products. Through a little extra work, we’ve found such products, and oftentimes they are cheaper than the standard industry solutions. We’re also mindful of materials. Our field teams providing quotes and assessments are trained to operate precisely. We aim not to “ballpark” estimates for square footage, volume, and resource requirements. Why? Because all-too-often, if we’ve estimated too high, this means our crews will bring more concrete, rebar, and materials to a job site – and much of this is often wasted. That can also translate to higher costs all-around. We avoid all of this by spending a little more time upfront, and ensuring that we’re only using what we need. We are also thoughtful about how we plan our trips. We serve Tacoma, Puyallup, Auburn, Renton, and everything in between. That equates to a lot of driving – big trucks that need lots of fuel – trucks that don’t get great mileage. So how do we keep costs (and emissions) low? By planning our routes, work-schedule, and being smart and efficient, we’re able to keep costs lower. And we pass those savings on to you, all while emitting less into the atmosphere. Choose Puyallup Concrete, and rest assured that you’re selecting a service provider that has taken steps to limit our collective impact on the Earth.

Concrete Resources
While DIY concrete projects are possible, they can rapidly become troublesome due to the inherent difficulties of working with this material. You can choose from a variety of different types of concrete as well as different types of concrete mixtures and concrete mixers. This includes concrete dyes, additives, and other substances and chemicals. Preparation, application, and finishing are all necessary before curing can begin. Things can easily go awry on a weekend concrete job, despite the fact that all of this is theoretically possible.

What is the function of concrete screeding, and how is it employed?
In order to remove any unneeded elements from a recently laid concrete surface, it is necessary to screed it. An even and flatter surface and application can be achieved in this way. To guarantee a flawless end product, we execute all of this work before applying any stamps to the concrete.
Why do concrete slabs develop cracks?
Concrete can crack for a variety of reasons. It is possible for concrete to crack if it dries too quickly. If you're pouring or mixing your own concrete, read the instructions carefully to ensure that it has enough time to set and cure. Many things can go wrong during this chemical process, which can take many days. As a general rule, always do as instructed. We've also noticed that the concrete is waterlogged. A lack of chemical reaction causes the concrete to be more brittle and more prone to fracture. Some concrete is also poured into too-hard forms, resulting in pours that lack the necessary connections for structural integrity.
